About the job
We’re looking for an experienced OCI Cloud Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, migrate, and support secure, scalable, and highly available Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments supporting PeopleSoft and enterprise Oracle technologies.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess existing on-premises infrastructure and design target-state OCI architectures.
• Configure and manage OCI compute, storage, networking, load balancing, DNS, IAM, security, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Support migration of PeopleSoft applications, Oracle middleware, databases, and identity management components to OCI.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) clusters and containerized workloads.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support high availability, performance tuning, production troubleshooting, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, migration plans, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Collaborate with application, database, middleware, networking, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure engineering, or technical architecture.
• Strong hands-on OCI experience. The job narrative specifies 3+ years, while the skills matrix specifies 6+ years. Candidates should have 6+ years unless the requirement is clarified.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise OCI environments for mission-critical applications.
• Experience migrating PeopleSoft and Oracle middleware workloads to OCI.
• Strong knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, load balancing, IAM, DNS, monitoring, logging, backups, security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Oracle WebCenter Content and Imaging, Oracle Identity and Access Management, Oracle SOA Suite, WebLogic Server, Oracle Database, and OKE.
• Strong understanding of VCNs, subnets, DRGs, FastConnect, routing, firewalls, network security groups, TLS certificates, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, ingress, persistent storage, certificates, and secrets management.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Red Hat Linux, UNIX, shell scripting, and infrastructure automation.
• Availability outside normal business hours for production implementations, cutovers, disaster recovery exercises, and critical incidents.

Preferred Qualifications
• OCI Architect Professional certification or equivalent.
• Experience with high availability, active-active architecture, disaster recovery, and multi-data-center deployments.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, OCI Resource Manager, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
