JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps / Public Cloud) for a 6M C2H opportunity that is remote.  The Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps / Private Cloud) will act as the primary technical authority and SME for the network of partners, customers, and vendors in the area of cloud financial operations. The Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps / Private Cloud) will collaborate within the consulting group to guide the creation, architecture, and rollout of FinOps-based solutions tailored to client needs.  The Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps / Public Cloud) will provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members in their assigned group, as well as across the wider organization for internal programs and secondary project assistance. The Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps / Public Cloud) must have a strong forward-thinking approach with excellent leadership skills and extensive hands-on expertise in managing cloud finances, driving cost efficiencies, establishing controls and policies, and working effectively across various major public cloud environments.

About the Project: The senior FinOps technical lead will be the go-to client-facing expert for the enterprise FinOps segment. The FinOps lead will own a focused portfolio of 5–6 major enterprise accounts, delivering high-touch, white glove consultative services, building governance, tagging, cost allocation, optimization, budgeting, and forecasting strategies across AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform. The FinOps lead will guide those clients from basic crawl-stage maturity all the way to advanced run-stage optimization, while mentoring the FinOps engineers, handling technical escalations, and translating complex cost concepts seamlessly for DevOps teams through to C-suite executives. The FinOps lead must be a blend deep multi-cloud FinOps expertise with strong consulting presence, rapid multitasking across clients, and a project-management mindset to drive measurable cloud value and uncover growth opportunities in a fast-growing managed services practice. Ideal for someone certified (at least Practitioner level), experienced with AI workload cost management, and proven in high-stakes, client-facing environments.
