We are currently seeking a Field Tech Senior Specialist- WOS to join our team in Timonium, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).
Job Description:
Overview: - The Field Tech Senior Specialist provides users with support services for corporate standard technology products.
- He/She provides hardware and software planning, technical advice, and informal training to internal customers. This position organizes and coordinates installation and deployment activities for software, hardware, and network facility upgrades.
- The Field Tech Senior Specialist troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and equipment problems within established processes and procedures and makes recommendations for problem prevention.
- He/She interacts with field locations to standardize support practices and procedures.
- This position coordinates deployments and implementations with Information Services' (I.S.) departments and user groups and facilitates activities to ensure projects and programs meet established deadlines.
Daily Deliverables: - Provide daily operational support for Maryland Campus, including SMC, TechSpot, and walk-up services, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests across end-user devices, servers, and network components
- Maintain readiness of spare hardware (laptops/desktops) to support rapid replacement and minimize user downtime
- Support PCSR processes to ensure efficient provisioning and lifecycle management of end-user devices
- Support and maintain TechGrad Training Lab environment to enable ongoing training programs
- Track and assist with Server EOSL cycles, coordinating with appropriate teams for planning and replacements
- Perform NAS permissions analysis and monitor storage capacity, identifying potential risks

- Data Center Optimization
- Computer Room Server Rack Consolidation
- Rationalize and consolidate server rack footprint to improve space, power, and cooling efficiency
- Reduce physical sprawl and improve manageability
- Partner with infrastructure teams to execute migration and decommissioning plans
- Infrastructure Lifecycle Strategy
- Server EOSL Replacement Program
- Develop and maintain forward-looking server replacement roadmap
- Align EOSL remediation with budget cycles and risk prioritization
- Reduce operational risk associated with aging infrastructure
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is
($35-$39/hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
