We are seeking a Human Resources Sourcing Specialist to support strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship management, and procurement activities for HR-related commercial categories. This role will focus on cost-effective lifecycle management of supplier relationships, contract negotiations, sourcing strategy, and procurement administration within ERP and related systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR Benefits, Health & Welfare sourcing, strong procurement knowledge, and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders, suppliers, legal, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic sourcing support for the Human Resources business unit, including sourcing initiatives, solicitations, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Partner with stakeholders at all levels to support assigned commercial categories and maintain strong service levels.
- Execute strategic sourcing projects and manage category lifecycle activities to achieve best-value commercial solutions.
- Lead and support pre-award and post-award procurement activities, including pre-bid meetings, kickoff meetings, risk analysis, terms and conditions negotiations, payment terms, and contract administration.
- Perform post-award cost analysis, evaluations, change management, and claim management.
- Negotiate contracts involving variable cost structures and non-standard terms and conditions with appropriate guidance.
- Assist business units in finalizing Statements of Work from a commercial and procurement perspective.
- Support Requests for Quotes, Requests for Proposals, Change Orders, and Task Orders.
- Collaborate with Legal to review and negotiate vendor edits to standard terms, conditions, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Partner with Digital Technology teams to support vendor review and approval processes.
- Work daily within SAP/Ariba and related procurement systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in HR strategic sourcing, materials planning, procurement, supplier management, or related fields.
- Knowledge of source-to-settle and procure-to-pay processes.
- Understanding of sourcing management processes, procurement contract types, commodity pricing, quality standards, supplier sources, statements of work, and negotiation techniques.
- Ability to understand category trends, market conditions, pricing trends, quality standards, and supplier landscapes.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Required Skills
- Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and negotiating RFx documents, contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements.
- Project management or sourcing management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Copilot, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn ERP systems such as SAP/Ariba.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HR Benefits, Health & Welfare sourcing.
- Finance market expertise and supplier management experience.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with SAP/Ariba and procure-to-pay processes.
- Certified Purchasing Manager certification or a degree directly applicable to the category.
Work Environment
This role is currently hybrid, with a requirement to work onsite in the Philadelphia office at least once per week. The onsite requirement may be subject to change.
The position involves frequent computer usage, communication with internal and external stakeholders, managing multiple projects, analyzing documentation, and working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities.
