Job Title: Principal Architect Kubernetes & Cloud (AWS)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Architect Kubernetes & Cloud to lead the design, architecture, and administration of large-scale Kubernetes platforms on AWS for enterprise-grade telecommunications environments. This role requires deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, container orchestration, and telecom systems, with the ability to guide technical teams and influence strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
Own end-to-end Kubernetes administration, including cluster security, scaling, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud-native solutions for telecom workloads.
Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance.
Integrate Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitoring, and logging tools.
Collaborate with telecom engineering teams to support 5G, OSS/BSS, network functions virtualization (NFV), and microservices-based platforms.
Lead architectural reviews, mentor senior engineers, and provide technical leadership across teams.
Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization across AWS environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
AWS expertise (mandatory) EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, etc.
Strong Kubernetes administration experience (EKS preferred).
Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, ingress controllers).
Experience in telecommunications domain (telecom networks, OSS/BSS, 4G/5G, NFV).
Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
AWS or Kubernetes certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD).
Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
Exposure to GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
Experience working in large-scale, carrier-grade telecom environments.
