As a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform comprehensive cardiac imaging for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and select adult patients with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Echo Tech or cardiac sonographer who is confident performing pediatric cardiac ultrasound studies in a collaborative hospital environment.

Travel Sonographer Job Details\\n
\\n - Assignment Type: Travel, on-site
\\n - Location: Baltimore, Maryland 21201
\\n - Start Date: October 12, 2026
\\n - End Date: November 23, 2026
\\n - Duration: 6 weeks
\\n - Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,300-$2,470
\\n - Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 8-hour day shifts, generally scheduled within an approximately 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. window
\\n - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
\\n - Call Requirement: Approximately once every 8 weeks, as scheduled
\\n - Holidays: Required when they fall on the scheduled rotation
\\n - Orientation: 24 hours
\\n - Patient Volume: Approximately 8 visits per day across 3 rooms
\\n
Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Job Requirements\\n
\\n - At least 2 years of professional experience as an Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer; pediatric cardiac experience required
\\n - Current ARDMS and/or RDCS credentials appropriate to cardiac sonography, such as pediatric, fetal, adult echocardiography, or related specialty credentials
\\n - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
\\n - Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records and clinical documentation
\\n - Demonstrated experience performing pediatric acute-care and outpatient echocardiography
\\n - Strong knowledge of congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease
\\n - Competence with isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment
\\n - Ability to work independently, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, and adapt to a fast-paced hospital setting
\\n - Flu vaccination is required without exemptions
\\n
Pediatric Echocardiography Responsibilities\\n
\\n - Perform high-quality pediatric and cardiac ultrasound examinations for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults
\\n - Conduct routine, portable, ICU, and emergency department echocardiography studies while maintaining patient safety and comfort
\\n - Complete 2-D, 3-D, M-mode, color Doppler, continuous-wave Doppler, pulsed-wave Doppler, and diastology imaging as appropriate
\\n - Evaluate complex congenital conditions, including ventricular and atrial septal defects, tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great vessels, hypoplastic heart syndromes, coarctation of the aorta, and anomalous pulmonary venous return
\\n - Support imaging for post-surgical repairs and complex pediatric cardiac anatomy
\\n - Perform bubble studies, contrast-enhanced imaging, strain and volume assessments, and other advanced studies within scope
\\n - Assist with fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography as qualified and assigned
\\n - Recognize significant findings and promptly communicate pertinent information to the interpreting provider and care team
\\n - Accurately document examinations, measurements, patient history, and technical findings in Epic and PACS
\\n - Maintain equipment, follow departmental protocols, and uphold quality, infection-prevention, and patient-care standards
