Summary

Role: Performance Architect
Location: Johns Creek,GA (Hybrid)
Experience: 12–15+ Years
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable performance frameworks using k6
Build and maintain k6 scripts (JavaScript-based)
Execute load, stress, spike, and endurance testing for high-traffic retail scenarios
Simulate real-world use cases like flash sales, checkout flows, cart operations, and payment transactions
Identify bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers
Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams for performance tuning
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
Monitor performance using Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic
Provide detailed reports with actionable insights to stakeholders

Required Skills:
12–15+ years of IT experience with strong focus on Performance Engineering
Hands-on expertise in k6 (mandatory)
Strong scripting skills in JavaScript
Experience testing high-volume, customer-facing applications
Strong knowledge of API performance testing & microservices architecture
Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic
Understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges in retail platforms
