Candidates must be local to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Own the Build. Automate the Release. Accelerate Delivery.
We're seeking a hands-on
Senior DevOps Engineer who specializes in build and release engineering, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native application delivery.
You'll own the path from code commit to production for
.NET applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), designing reliable pipelines that enable faster, safer, and more frequent deployments.
This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in
Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and trunk-based development who enjoys working directly with development teams to eliminate bottlenecks and make deployments predictable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for .NET applications and services.
- Own build and release management, including versioning, artifact promotion, deployment automation, and release standards.
- Implement trunk-based development practices, including automated PR validation, short-lived branches, feature flags, and continuous integration.
- Build progressive deployment strategies for AKS, including blue/green, canary releases, automated health checks, and rollbacks.
- Manage Docker container builds, Azure Container Registry, and container image optimization.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and Kubernetes deployments using Terraform, Bicep, Helm, and related tools.
- Integrate security scanning, dependency checks, secrets management, and compliance controls into delivery pipelines.
- Improve pipeline performance, build reliability, automated testing, and developer feedback cycles.
- Monitor deployment health and delivery performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, and DORA metrics.
- Partner with developers to troubleshoot build and deployment issues, improve release practices, and streamline delivery.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be local to the DFW area
- Must work 5 days onsite in downtown Dallas (parking is paid for)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or release engineering, with significant hands-on ownership of build and release systems.
- Strong experience with both Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions, including YAML pipelines, reusable workflows, runners/agents, and release approvals.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, managed identities, and cloud networking.
- Production-level Kubernetes and Docker experience, including deployment configuration, scaling, troubleshooting, and container management.
- Strong understanding of .NET build and packaging tools, including MSBuild, .NET CLI, NuGet, and multi-service builds.
- Proven experience implementing trunk-based development, continuous integration, and automated release practices.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, along with Helm.
- Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD security, vulnerability scanning, software supply chain protection, and secrets management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and be able to work onsite in Dallas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience consolidating or migrating pipelines between Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- GitOps experience with Argo CD or Flux.
- Advanced AKS networking or service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Policy-as-code experience with OPA, Gatekeeper, or Azure Policy.
- Experience supporting regulated environments such as SOC 2, PCI, or HIPAA.
- Database deployment automation using EF Core migrations, DACPAC, Flyway, or Liquibase.
- Experience integrating performance and load testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-400 or AZ-104, or Kubernetes certifications such as CKA/CKAD.
Why Join Us?
You'll have direct ownership of the
build and release engineering lifecycle in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment that values automation, continuous improvement, and frequent, reliable deployments.
