Location: Addison, Texas (Onsite)
Role Overview
The Data QA Analyst is responsible for validating and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data prior to use across systems and client deliverables. This role has a strong emphasis on tax data validation and application, including reviewing how tax rules are applied across global jurisdictions. Focus areas include UAT testing, data validation, tax calculation accuracy, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform UAT to validate tax calculation logic and system accuracy.
- Test system releases, enhancements, and configurations for proper tax rule implementation.
- Identify, document, and track defects related to tax discrepancies.
- Analyze tax data across multiple global jurisdictions for accuracy and compliance.
- Validate and verify data prior to storage and downstream use.
- Perform QA checks to ensure data integrity and resolve inconsistencies.
- Investigate discrepancies in tax application and recommend corrective actions.
- Apply basic statistical and/or financial analysis to assess data reliability.
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities related to tax data handling.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 3 years of experience in data analysis, QA/UAT testing, or finance or accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfort working with large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to tax concepts, either domestic or global.
- Experience with QA/UAT testing methodologies.
- Interest in learning global tax rules and applications.
Work Environment
This position requires an onsite presence 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
