Job Description: IT Support Technician
Location: Onsite
Schedule: Standard business hours with some fluctuating start/stop times depending on school events
Overview
We are seeking an entry-level IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across campus. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone hungry to grow in an IT environment. The position supports a wide range of technologies including Google Workspace administration, basic network and systems troubleshooting, audio/visual equipment, and Apple device management through JAMF.
Strong communication skills and a personable approach are essential. This role is onsite and requires daily interaction with staff, students, and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for end users across campus
- Assist with Google Workspace administration including account setup, permissions, and troubleshooting
- Support basic network and system protocols including Wi-Fi connectivity, device imaging, and workstation setup
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment for classrooms and school events
- Support Apple device deployment and management using JAMF
- Respond to support tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, and inventory
- Assist with event-related technology needs during varying schedules
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on escalations and project work
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or related field (internships and school experience acceptable)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace administration
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and systems protocols
- Exposure to JAMF or Apple device management
- Experience with audio/visual setup and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills with a personable, customer-focused demeanor
- Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and learn quickly
- Comfortable working onsite and adapting to schedule changes during events
