Job Title – Product Manager – Security Products & Platforms
Duration – 6 Months Contract
Location – Toronto, ON
Pay Range - $50 - $53/hr on T4

HERE'S WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Description:
Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of security products (e.g., identity and access, data protection, threat detection, compliance automation, security analytics). Partner with security engineering, platform, and business teams to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and enable secure-by-default experiences for customers and internal users.

Core Responsibilities

Define product vision, strategy, and 12–18 month roadmap for security capabilities (IAM, DLP, secrets, threat detection, security posture).
Align to business risk priorities and regulatory requirements; set measurable OKRs (risk reduction, MTTR, coverage, adoption).
Conduct discovery with SecOps, architecture, and business stakeholders; benchmark against industry controls and frameworks.
Translate requirements into PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria with a strong "secure-by-design” lens.
Partner with engineering to design scalable controls and guardrails (policies, workflows, APIs, integrations).
Define security SLAs/SLOs, data classification, encryption standards, access policies, and audit traceability.
Prioritize backlog using risk impact/likelihood, customer value, and engineering effort.
Drive sprint rituals, release planning, and cross-team dependencies (platform, infra, compliance).
Lead UAT, hardening, rollout plans, runbooks, documentation, and stakeholder enablement.
Establish telemetry for detections, incidents, vulnerabilities, and posture drift; manage incident response with SecOps.
Implement control monitoring, exception workflows, and periodic attestation.
Support audits and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR/CCPA); ensure evidence is complete and accessible.
Define and track KPIs (coverage, reduction in critical findings, MTTR, false-positive rate, policy adherence, user adoption).
Run feedback loops with Security Architecture, SecOps, and application teams; iterate features and deprecate legacy tools.
Evangelize secure development practices and build self-serve patterns for teams.

Skill Set

Strategy, OKRs, roadmap ownership; stakeholder alignment and governance.
PRD and user story writing; prioritization (RICE/WSJF); GTM for internal products.
Metrics-driven iteration; change management and adoption programs.
Identity & Access (IAM): RBAC/ABAC, SSO, MFA, privileged access, just-in-time access.
Data Protection: Classification, encryption (at rest/in transit), tokenization, key management (KMS/HSM).
Application Security: Secure SDLC, threat modeling, code scanning (SAST/DAST), dependency scanning (SCA).
Cloud & Platform Security: CSPM/CNAPP, guardrails, network segmentation, secrets management.
Detection & Response: SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, alert tuning, incident response workflows.
Vulnerability Management: Scanning, prioritization (CVSS/context), remediation pipelines.
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Policies, control design, attestations, evidence management.

Soft Skills

Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Risk-based decision-making; negotiation and conflict resolution.
Documentation excellence and audit readiness.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO WIN:
Required Qualifications:

7 years in product management or technical program management; 4+ years owning security products or platforms.
Hands-on collaboration with security engineering, SecOps, and compliance/audit teams.
Experience delivering enterprise-grade security capabilities (e.g., IAM, DLP, encryption, SIEM/SOAR, CSPM).
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR/CCPA).
Cloud security experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) and secure SDLC practices.
Certifications helpful: CISSP, CCSK/CCSP, Security+, CISM, or equivalent experience.
