The Transportation Solution Division within the Leidos Civil group is seeking Systems, Integration and Software Engineer Interns who will be a member of a dynamic team working on one of several Air Traffic Management programs including:
En-Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System, providing the foundation for NexGen functions
Time-Based Flow Management (TBFM), is a system used in air traffic control to manage the flow of aircraft into congested airspace by assigning a specific time for each aircraft to reach a certain point. It shifts the focus from managing separation distance to managing arrival times, allowing controllers to optimize the flow of traffic, reduce delays, and decrease fuel consumption.
Primary Responsibilities:
Tasks will include assistance with system architecture, system concept development, requirements engineering, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, system risk management, and requirements baseline management. The candidate will also support regression testing the development of design and coding of the program software, including Object Oriented Programming Concepts, XML, JavaScript, C, C++, Java, Redhat, and Python.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program in a relevant discipline, for example, engineering, computer science.
- Exposure to system engineering, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
