Summary Description:
Provides expert-level support for system-wide technology programs; assists with the design, implementation, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of enterprise-wide infrastructure; performs project management as the lead technical expert for a specific program area; and performs related duties, as required or assigned. Supervision Received/Given: Receives general supervision from a manager or coordinator. Oversees the work of IT systems specialists and other technical staff, as assigned. May provide guidance and assistance to vendors and/or full-time, part-time, and/or hourly employees, as required. Physical Demands: Some lifting/moving of equipment Special Requirements: None
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Can demonstrate knowledge of standard computer and network operating systems, protocols, and software with advanced proficiency in using standard and ad hoc applications; knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, instructional technology requirements; ability to determine priorities, allocate resources, manage projects, measure and analyze results; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficiency with GAM (Google Apps Manager) for bulk administration, Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS), and basic scripting for automation. Supporting Services Professional Growth System-Employees must demonstrate the following Core Competencies: commitment to students, knowledge of the job, professionalism, interpersonal and communication and organizational skills, and problem-solving competencies. Knowledge of and the ability to meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
Education Training Experience:
Bachelor''''s degree required. College coursework in computer-related fields. Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience in user support and technology administration with at least 1 year specifically administering Google Workspace in an educational or enterprise setting. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor''''s degree, which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position, may be considered.Certificate License: An active Google Workspace Administrator (Associate or Professional) certification is highly preferred.
