We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to spearhead operations, configuration, and troubleshooting for a complex, multi-vendor statewide network infrastructure.
Location: Blythewood, SC
Work Arrangement: 100% Fully Onsite (37.5 hours/week + on-call rotation)
Travel: Requires local travel to field offices (Valid Driver's License required; fleet vehicle provided)
Interview Process: 2 Rounds (Candidate must be prepared to interview onsite)
Candidate Eligibility Requirements
- Current Residency: Must currently reside in SC, NC, or GA.
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC prior to start date at your own expense.
- Education: Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of relevant experience.
Core Technical Skills Required
Cisco Expertise (10+ Years Required):
- Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
- Cisco VPN & Core Administration
Palo Alto Security (Required):
- 5+ Years: Palo Alto Firewalls
- 2+ Years: Palo Alto XDR
Highly Desired (Preferred) Skills:
- 10+ years in Core Network Architecture & Advanced Routing/Switching
- 10+ years using network monitoring and tracing tools
- Experience with Wireless Networks (4+ years) and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (3+ years)
- Certifications: CCNA or CCNP highly preferred.
- Exposure to Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, Citrix NetScaler, or Trellix is a major plus.
Key Responsibilities in this Position
- Act as the senior technical point of reference for the Network Operations Center (NOC) team.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and remediate complex issues in a voice-integrated network environment.
- Proactively monitor network performance, optimize connectivity, and maintain network documentation/diagrams with little to no supervision.
