Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Storage & Backup Engineer to support, manage, and enhance enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Commvault, along with extensive experience in NetApp, Dell EMC SAN, Azure NetApp Files, and Fibre Channel switch management.
This role requires an engineer capable of independently troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, maintaining highly available storage environments, and ensuring reliable enterprise backup and recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Commvault backup and recovery infrastructure.
- Manage Commvault backup policies, schedules, retention, deduplication, storage utilization, and restoration processes.
- Monitor backup operations, investigate failures, and optimize backup and recovery performance.
- Administer and troubleshoot NetApp and Dell EMC SAN storage environments.
- Support Azure NetApp Files, including storage provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Fibre Channel SAN switches, including zoning, fabric configuration, connectivity, and performance troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, storage, and backup-related incidents.
- Support storage capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, and system optimization.
- Perform backup restoration validation, disaster recovery testing, and recovery readiness assessments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application teams to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, storage, backup, or related engineering roles.
- Strong, hands-on Commvault administration and troubleshooting experience (primary requirement).
- Proven experience supporting NetApp storage systems.
- Experience with Dell EMC SAN technologies.
- Knowledge and practical experience with Azure NetApp Files.
- Strong understanding of Fibre Channel SAN architecture, switch administration, zoning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience diagnosing complex enterprise storage, backup, and infrastructure issues.
- Solid understanding of backup and recovery strategies, replication, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, virtualization technologies, and enterprise storage protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed technical teams.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a senior-level, technically strong, hands-on engineer, not someone whose experience is limited to infrastructure management or coordination.
The successful candidate should demonstrate deep expertise in Commvault, strong enterprise SAN and NAS troubleshooting capabilities, and practical experience supporting NetApp, Dell EMC, Azure NetApp Files, and Fibre Channel infrastructure.
