Job Summary:
We are seeking a MuleSoft L2 SRE (Observability) Developer to monitor, support, and enhance the reliability and visibility of our enterprise integration platform. In this role, you will focus on implementing observability frameworks, managing incident escalations, and maintaining telemetry pipelines across MuleSoft applications and API ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Observability & Telemetry: Implement and maintain enterprise monitoring solutions for MuleSoft APIs using tools like Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
L2 Support & Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 incidents related to MuleSoft runtime issues, performance bottlenecks, payload errors, and connectivity failures.
Metrics & Dashboarding: Build custom dashboards, set up actionable alerts, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like latency, error rates, throughput, and system health.
Log Aggregation & Distributed Tracing: Standardize log formats and configure distributed tracing across APIs using OpenTelemetry or native MuleSoft tracing modules.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Partner with L3 engineering and architecture teams to perform RCA on recurring incidents and automate remediation scripts.
Performance Tuning: Assist in analyzing thread dumps, memory leaks, logs to optimize MuleSoft application performance.
Required Qualifications:
MuleSoft Expertise: 3+ years of experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange) and Mule 4.x runtime.
Observability Tools: Hands-on experience with at least one major observability platform (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, or Grafana).
SRE Fundamentals: Familiarity with SRE principles, Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Error Budgets.
Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Shell scripting, Python, or Groovy for automating operational tasks and log parsing.
Protocol & Format Knowledge: Solid understanding of REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, HTTP/S protocols, and API security (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
