Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Process Engineer to drive software and controls development processes aligned with organizational standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS). This role focuses on process definition, deployment, auditing, continuous improvement, and coaching across cross-functional engineering teams to ensure world-class product quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with multiple development methodologies, process optimization, metrics-driven quality improvement, and tool development, along with the ability to educate, coach, and influence teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain software and control engineering processes in alignment with organizational standards and QMS requirements
• Prepare, implement, audit, and maintain product development standards, policies, and procedures
• Lead process improvement initiatives to achieve defined quality, efficiency, and compliance goals
• Perform risk and gap analysis of existing process documentation and identify improvement opportunities
• Champion the use of metrics, KPIs, and objective measures to track process adherence and performance
• Support stand-up meetings and cross-functional reviews to ensure proper process and tool usage
• Coach engineers and managers on industry-leading software development and quality practices
• Drive tool and process optimization, particularly on new platforms and in-house tools
• Collaborate closely with Quality and Engineering teams to define and implement new processes
• Conduct process and release audits to ensure compliance prior to product release

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical discipline
• Strong understanding of software engineering lifecycle, quality systems, and process governance
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence teams in a matrixed organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Software Development, or Software Testing
• Hands-on experience working with multiple development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
• Experience implementing industry best practices across diverse teams and environments
• Experience leading projects of varying size and complexity
• Experience working within a large enterprise Quality Management System (QMS)
• Experience driving organizational change through process improvement
• Experience developing or using in-house tools (PowerApps, Power BI, Python, or similar)
