Field Data Collection Vehicle Operators to support on-road data collection for advanced vehicle systems. This is a
field execution role-your primary responsibility is operating vehicles and following defined procedures to safely and consistently collect high-quality data.
Driving is the job. Success in this role depends on reliability, safety, attention to detail, and strict adherence to protocols-not engineering judgment or improvisation.
Required Prior Experience - Professional driving experience (delivery, rideshare, fleet, trucking, etc.)
- Field operations or data collection experience
- Experience in safety-critical or procedure-driven environments

- Completes assigned routes with zero safety incidents
- Follows procedures exactly-no shortcuts

- Produces usable, high-quality data with no operator-caused errors

What You'll Do- Safely operate company-provided vehicles on public roads
- Drive assigned routes 6-8 hours per day for data collection and mapping
- Execute defined driving and data collection protocols
- Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and system checks
- Conduct basic system calibrations and first-line troubleshooting (training provided)
- Support equipment setup physically and procedurally
- Monitor in-vehicle systems during active data collection
- Coordinate daily with operations teams on routes and schedules
- Ensure collected data is transferred according to instructions
- Document and report issues clearly, accurately, and promptly
- Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance at all times
Role Boundaries (Important)This role
does not include:
- Designing tests
- Analyzing data
- Making independent system changes
- Overriding protocols
Escalation is expected and encouraged-
if something doesn't seem right, you stop and report it.Required Qualifications- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Clean driving record (background check and MVR required)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to drive 6-8 hours per day
- Comfortable with repetitive, rules-based work
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Able to work independently without direct supervision
- Basic computer and technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 25 lbs
Work Requirements- Full-time (40+ hours per week); overtime may be required
- Day, night, and weekend shifts may be required with advance notice
- Primary work performed on public roads
- Occasional long-distance driving
- Occasional travel for training
- Comfortable with prolonged sitting and hands-on vehicle work

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
