Job Title: Abinitio developer
Location: REMOTE
Description:
Coordinate with Leads and develop Advanced Ab Initio graphs and Ab Initio Plans, write complex Linux wrapper scripts and be productive on the work deliverables.
Execute the SQL queries against Greenplum database, monitor daily loads and write the advanced queries to get summarized data.
Support all the production loads, debug the failures and provide the resolutions.
All other duties as assigned or directed.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
5 + years of experience working with strong data-warehouse and ETL - Ab Initio tool background.
Experience working with relational database like Oracle, DB2 and PostgreSQL.
Experience working with UNIX/ Linux bash scripting.
Experience working in a fast-paced development environment with drive to completion.
Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Well versed with using version control systems (EME and Git).
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong hands-on experience in data-warehouse and ETL - Ab Initio tool background.
Excellent working knowledge of Ab Initio suites of product - GDE, Co>Op, PSETS, PDL Programming, Meta Programming, Generic Graphs and usage of Conduct>IT (Plans).
Good experience in various Ab-initio parallelism techniques and implement overall solutions comprising of ETL jobs involving heavy volumes of data.
Knowledge on EME version control, Ab Initio air commands , m_ commands and UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
Experience working with various Ab Initio components such as Rollup, Scan, Join, Partition by key, Normalize, Gather, Merge, Sort, Lookup, etc.
Proficient and comfortable with Ab Initio metaprogramming using vectors and implementing tuning techniques for performance improvement.
Strong knowledge of any database such Oracle, DB2 or Greenplum is a must.
Flexible to support on-going BAU production jobs and release activities.
Must have knowledge on data warehousing concepts , data modeling and expert level Database/SQL skills.
Proficient in creating documentation related to design documents, Unit testing, handover and walk-through documents.
Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate the
infrastructure/service needs working with the architecture and Data Center teams.
Closely work with the architecture team to review the design and ETL code.
Identify and apply best practices and standard operating procedures.
Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers .
Experience with Agile development practices.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Working experience in AWS and knowledge of Cloud environment.
Business Intelligence MIBI Reporting tools like Tableau and WebFOCUS.
Experience with Telephony or high volumes of transactional data.
