Business Analyst Profile
Overall need: Approximately 7 BAs, with different allocations across trading, reporting, UI, backend, API/external transmissions, and other areas.
Core skills across the BA population
- Strong data analysis and data fluency
- Data lineage and data mapping
- Understanding of systems of record and system changes
- Translating data/system findings into clear business and functional requirements
- Experience with data flows, APIs, and business logic
- Ability to partner closely with engineering and technical teams
- Strong SQL capability
- Ability to analyze current-state environments and identify gaps
- Strong communication and requirements documentation
Trading-focused BAs
- Financial services/trading experience is preferred but not required
- Strong technical aptitude; systems analyst background is a plus
- Understanding of regulatory environments
- Data lineage/mapping experience
- Ability to work through complex systems and dependencies
- Comfortable going deep technically and then translating findings for business stakeholders
Reporting-focused BAs
- 1 2 resources may specifically focus on reporting
- Strong data skills plus ability to understand reporting/user needs and insights
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Power BI
- Adobe Analytics
- SQL
