Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior QA / QA Lead with expertise in Accounting/Billing or Utilities or Accounting & Finance to support the testing and quality assurance of technology solutions within these domains. The ideal candidate will manage and lead testing activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets the business requirements and technical specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of both IT testing methodologies and the unique needs of finance and utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all testing efforts within the Billing / Utilities / Accounting & Finance domain
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Design and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex software systems
Oversee and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests to ensure the quality of the final product
Analyze test results, track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner
Provide regular reporting on test progress, defects, and quality metrics to management
Manage and mentor junior testers, fostering a collaborative and efficient testing environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the Billing / Utilities / Accounting & Finance sectors
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing, test case design, and defect tracking tools
- Familiarity with testing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid models
- Experience with testing financial systems, utility billing systems, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
