Key Responsibilities:
- Strong hands-on experience as an SAP ISU Device Management Lead Consultant with Electric/Gas/Water utilities.
- Lead and support daily operations and enhancement projects related to SAP IS-Utilities Device Management module.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP ISU functional specifications.
- Configure SAP ISU Device Management module to support the creation and maintenance of master data including but not limited to Connection object, Premise, Device location, AMI and non-AMI meters, CT/PT, Register groups, Device categories, etc.
- Support the relevant SAP ISU Device Management processes involving device serialization, installation/removal/replacement/retirement of devices, meter reading, device allocation, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical teams, end-users, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and solution delivery.
- Lead the troubleshooting effort and perform root cause analysis of issues with AMI meter read gaps, issues with the head end systems, MDUS, etc.
- Experience in assisting with processes involving high volume AMI and MV-90 data ingestion, validation, operational events, and exception handling while ensuring seamless integration with Device Management and Billing processes.
- Provide continuous system improvements and work on new enhancements/initiatives from time to time.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must have skills: SAP, IS-U, Device Management, Billing, Meter, AMI
- Deep functional knowledge of key Device Management processes:
- Meter reading download and upload to/from FCS for AMR and non-AMI conventional meters for Gas/Electric and Water services.
- Meter reading download and upload to/from IEE for AMI meters for Electric and Water services.
- Meter reading route resequencing for conventional meters.
- Creation of letters/orders on the basis of meter read skip codes and other process.
- Estimation of Gas meters using the Heating Degree Days.
- Generation of various reports like Energy Efficiency report, Zero Consumption report, etc.
- Experience in other DM processes like AMI meter roll out, AMI meter installation, Meter reading exception handling, BPEMs, etc.
- Ability to write and review functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers.
