Summary

Low Voltage Security Technician

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Security Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service a variety of electronic security systems. This role supports commercial, industrial, and residential projects and is ideal for a technician who can work independently while delivering high-quality installations and customer service.
The successful candidate will have experience with low-voltage systems including fire alarms, intrusion alarms, video surveillance, and access control. Candidates with industry certifications and hands-on experience with leading security platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and service low-voltage security systems
  • Program and commission fire alarm, intrusion alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems
  • Troubleshoot wiring, equipment, and system performance issues
  • Conduct testing and inspections to ensure proper system functionality and code compliance
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Provide customer training and technical support following installations
  • Complete service calls, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and system changes
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards

Required Qualifications

  • Experience installing and servicing low-voltage security systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with fire alarm systems, access control, burglar alarms, and video surveillance solutions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr.
