POS Support Engineer

Role Overview
Seeking a POS Support Contractor with hands-on NCR RPOS experience to provide post-upgrade production support across Wawa stores. This person will identify and reproduce defects, analyze logs and monitoring, work directly with NCR Engineering, test fixes, and own issues through production resolution.

Key Responsibilities
•    Support NCR RPOS and payment software upgrades across Wawa stores
•    Analyze Splunk, Zabbix, logs, and incident trends to identify recurring defects
•    Troubleshoot and reproduce POS issues in the Wawa lab
•    Open and manage NCR Engineering/support cases through root cause and resolution
•    Compile logs, screenshots, timestamps, versions, and reproduction steps
•    Test NCR hotfixes and corrective software and assess regression risk
•    Deploy approved fixes using Ivanti and validate production results
•    Maintain case documentation, test evidence, known errors, and stakeholder updates

Required Qualifications
•    2+ years of hands-on NCR RPOS support experience in a production retail environment
•    Experience troubleshooting POS defects and managing vendor cases through resolution
•    Working knowledge of Windows and retail POS architecture
•    Experience with monitoring/logging tools; Splunk and Zabbix preferred
•    Working PowerShell knowledge
•    Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and vendor-management skills
