Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Product Operations Lead to lead day-to-day operations and maintenance activities for a CMS-supported system and ensure operational activities align with CMS contract requirements, SLAs, and performance metrics. This is a 100% remote opportunity.
Basic Requirements:
· Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance designation.
· Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States.
· Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.
· Bachelor's degree is required.
Responsibilities:
· Promote process standardization and best practices across the O&M lifecycle
· Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance activities for a CMS-supported system
· Ensure operational activities align with CMS contract requirements, SLAs, and performance metrics
· Coordinate incident management, problem resolution, and change activities across technical and functional teams
· Track operational risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as appropriate
· Develop and deliver regular status reports, operational metrics, and briefings for CMS stakeholders and program leadership
· Coordinate release communications, maintenance notifications, and incident communications
· Facilitate operational meetings including stand-ups, O&M reviews, and stakeholder touch points
· Elicit and document business and operational requirements for CMS-requested enhancements and internal improvements
· Write, refine, and manage user stories and acceptance criteria aligned with CMS standards and Agile practices
· Maintain and prioritize the enhancement and defect backlog in collaboration with CMS stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams
· Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
· Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
· Partner with engineering and support teams on root cause analysis and preventative actions
Public Trust Clearance:
Many of our roles require the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is required to be eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship.
Work Location:
Headquartered in Arlington, VA, we also have a primary office in Baltimore, MD for those who prefer to work on-site. However, with employees spread across 40+ states, we have many remote roles.
