We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and detail-oriented Permanent Estimator to join our team in the Construction industry. This role is pivotal in our company's growth and success, playing a critical role in cost management, project estimation, and budgeting. You will be responsible for estimating the costs of large-scale construction projects, including built up roofing, modified bitumen, standing seam roofing, painting, and waterproofing. You will also be involved in ELITE roofing and repair maintenance service. Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and time requirements.
• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare reports and presentations to explain estimates and proposals.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with built up roofing, modified bitumen, standing seam roofing, painting, and waterproofing.
• Experience as an ELITE roofing and repair maintenance service estimator.
• Strong understanding of cost management, project estimation, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices from suppliers and contractors.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in relevant software, including MS Office and database systems.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in estimating, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), would be an advantage.
