Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training in Quality Assurance, Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years of Quality Control or Mechanical Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience calibrating machine shop gauges and precision measuring equipment.
- Previous experience in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments required.
- Experience with CMMs, vision systems, profilometers, and automated inspection equipment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming experience with automated inspection systems, including CMMs and vision systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection methodologies.
- Experience performing Gauge R&R studies and measurement system analysis.
- Technical writing experience, including quality documentation and change control processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform detailed inspection work throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
- Strong visual acuity for precision measurements, inspections, and computer-based tasks.
- Comfortable working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Job Duties
- Program and maintain automated inspection systems, including CMMs, vision systems, and profilometers.
- Calibrate machine shop gauges, measuring instruments, and quality inspection equipment.
- Create and update measurement verification programs and quality documentation.
- Perform Gauge R&R studies and support process validation activities.
- Train employees on inspection methods, quality standards, and measurement equipment.
- Review engineering changes, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend new inspection technologies and equipment.
- Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and day-to-day quality control operations.
