Vaco is hiring a React Native Mobile Developer for our client in Monroe, OH.
This role offers a hybrid work model in Monroe, OH (45050): 3 days onsite at our client’s office, 2 days remote.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing software engineering team building modern mobile applications that support a global product portfolio.
In this role, you will lead the development of a cross-platform mobile application using React Native and TypeScript, delivering both public and authenticated user experiences with strong performance, security, and a consistent UI. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, internal platform teams, and third-party partners while integrating mobile functionality with internal APIs and services.

In this role, you will lead the development of a cross-platform mobile application using React Native and TypeScript, delivering both public and authenticated user experiences with strong performance, security, and a consistent UI. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, internal platform teams, and third-party partners while integrating mobile functionality with internal APIs and services.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver high-quality React Native features for iOS and Android, ensuring cross-platform consistency and alignment with the shared design system
- Integrate mobile applications with internal APIs, including pagination, retries, offline caching/synchronization, and real-time updates
- Build and maintain a reusable component library to ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness
- Work with device capabilities and native modules such as NFC, camera/QR/barcode scanning, secure storage, background tasks, and notifications
- Manage mobile CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including code signing and release management for the Apple App Store and Google Play
- Implement analytics, logging, and crash reporting while monitoring performance metrics such as startup time, memory usage, and ANRs
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to plan, estimate, and deliver development increments while documenting architecture and technical decisions
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
- At least 1–2 years of professional experience following graduation is required, as this role is intended for early-career professionals rather than new graduates.
- 1-2+ years of mobile application development, including 1+ year working with React Native and TypeScript in production
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture including state management, navigation, data fetching/caching, and OTA updates, as well as platform differences between iOS and Android
- Experience implementing secure authentication flows, secure storage (Keychain/Keystore), network security (TLS/cert pinning), and privacy best practices
- Ability to integrate native modules and work with Swift or Kotlin when needed
- Experience with mobile CI/CD, app store submissions, release strategies, and feature flagging
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams
- Experience with performance profiling tools (Flipper, Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler) and advanced React Native libraries such as Reanimated or Gesture Handler
- Knowledge of background sync/queues, push notifications, and WebSockets
- Familiarity with design systems, internationalization, and accessibility standards for mobile
- Transportation or logistics industry experience is a huge plus, but not required
