Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software applications using C++. The ideal candidate will have experience in object-oriented programming, software design, debugging, and system optimization. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to develop effective software solutions.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software design discussions.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and support integration testing.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product managers, and other engineering teams.
  • Support software releases, deployments, and post-production issue resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
  • Stay current with modern C++ standards, tools, and software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17/20 or later).
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
  • Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux and Windows development environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and socket programming.
  • Experience with STL, Boost, and modern C++ libraries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with build systems such as CMake or Make.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with embedded systems, real-time systems, graphics, or distributed systems is a plus, depending on business needs.
