About the Role
Mastercard's Program aligned Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams are dedicated to delivering a seamless experience for our customers. We achieve this by maintaining every aspect of our Programs infrastructure and technology ecosystem to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with rigorous security requirements.
Within Mastercard, SRE focuses on the reliability and performance of core infrastructure, networks, and foundational services that power our applications. Our mission is to ensure these components operate with excellence, enabling applications to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
In this role, you will join our Operational Excellence SRE team, where you will provide agile project management support to our engineers while also taking ownership of the infrastructure footprint that underpins our environments. As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will leverage both your technical expertise and organizational leadership to help the SRE team fulfill its mission of delivering world class infrastructure services to our payments business.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide agile project management support to the SRE team, including tracking work in Jira (Kanban) and leading stand-up meetings to help engineers prioritize tasks and remove blockers
Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, ensure that work is organized, aligned, and progressing efficiently
Collaborate with peer technical project managers to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies and barriers
Support SRE leadership by participating in and leading meetings focused on defining actionable plans and driving solutions to technical and operational challenges
Prepare clear and accurate progress reporting aligned with Mastercard Agile best practices, including dashboards and summaries generated from Jira and Domo
Report on team progress against Operational and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring visibility for leadership and stakeholders
Own the alignment of business application infrastructure across test and production environments
Oversee and report on infrastructure lifecycles, versioning, and end of life (EOL) status for all components, collaborating with support teams to forecast technology refreshes and future capacity requirements
Lead and coordinate infrastructure upgrades across all environments, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with architectural and operational standards.

About You:
Five or more years of experience in a technology environment as a project manager, project lead, or in another relevant project management role
Solid information technology background, with exposure working with technical teams supporting infrastructure such as servers, networks, storage, databases, and Java runtime environments
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead teams toward successful delivery of complex initiatives
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with diverse deliverables, while coordinating effectively across teams
Experience with Agile methodologies, including Kanban or Scrum, and proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira
Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office tools is a plus.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
