As a Principal Information Security Packet Broker Engineer your responsibilities include administration, maintenance, architecture, and engineering related packet broker solutions to support network and cybersecurity visibility. This includes direct support, technical ownership, and leading others with regards to the platform. Additional responsibilities as needed, but may include on call response, partnering with others to facilitate team & process development, budgeting, and special projects in the Healthcare space including underlying IT infrastructure as well as the security thereof.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves enterprise-wide monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and web-based security. You will conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases, and the web for potential system breaches including:

  • Responding to alerts from information security tools
  • Reporting, investigating, and resolving security incidents
  • Recommending and implementing changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access
  • Researching security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach
  • May oversee internal or external systems security (i.e., cloud services)
  • Ensuring that customers and users have the right access to the right systems at the right times
  • Lead and mentor other team members including reviewing others' work
  • Develop innovative approaches
  • Serve as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 7+ years of IT experience in a large-scale environment
  • 3+ years of experience in packet broker engineering, Gigamon, Ixia, and Arista
  • 3+ years of experience with network management, including performing network troubleshooting and working directly with packet broker devices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated history showing increasing responsibility and corresponding achievement
  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-team partnership experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
