Position Details:
Title: .Net Developer/ .NET Backend Engineer
Location: Richmond Hill, ON- Hybrid- 3 day's in office
Duration: 12 Months
Hours: 40 hours/week
Interview Process: 2 Rounds- 1 Virtual and 1- In-person
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $50-$55/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop backend features using .NET Core
- Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs
- Contribute to modernization of legacy components
- Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues across services
- Review logs, trace requests, and identify root causes
- Manage Pull Requests and CI/CD workflows
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration
Must-Haves:
- 3 5+ years of hands-on backend development using C# / .NET Core
- Proven production experience building and supporting microservices
- Strong understanding of service-to-service communication (REST, events, messaging)
- Experience troubleshooting real distributed system production issues
- Practical knowledge of API Gateway patterns and service authentication
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML creation & updates)
- Experience integrating Azure Key Vault into CI/CD workflows
- Strong Git fundamentals (PRs, merges, conflict resolution, pipeline triggers)
- Experience with structured logging, correlation IDs, and distributed tracing
- Strong SQL Server skills (joins, aggregations) and ability to debug in Visual Studio
