Position Summary

If you're looking for a rewarding career opportunity with an industry leading organization, bring your experience and motivated attitude to Bridgestone Americas. We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in the Bloomington, Illinois plant.

This facility is owned and operated by Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations and has produced Off-The-Road tires for mining and construction applications since August 1965. More than 420 teammates work in this 82-acre site with a 695,000 sq. ft. facility

The Industrial Engineering position focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.). The Professional position will apply broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education and must be able to explain facts, policies and practices related to the job area. Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex.

Pay Range: $66,200.00 - $102,600.00

Responsibilities

  • Works on problems of limited scope and contributes on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals.
  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Conducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Assists manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
  • May assist in establishing accident prevention measures and managing production operations training programs for plant personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
