Location: Wyoming, MN
Work Arrangement: Full onsite preferred; hybrid flexibility after ramp-up

Job Description

Polaris is seeking a Junior Requirements Engineer to support Systems Engineering within the Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) organization. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to define, document, manage, and trace vehicle and subsystem requirements while supporting systems engineering processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and maintain system and subsystem requirements.
• Use Codebeamer or other requirements management tools to create, track, and manage requirements.
• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, consistent, and traceable.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, electrical, software, test, and other engineering teams.
• Identify requirement gaps, conflicts, and interfaces between vehicle systems and subsystems.
• Support requirements verification, test planning, and test case development.
• Apply systems engineering and requirements engineering best practices.
• Support interface management across vehicle and subsystem projects.
• Work with requirement owners to improve requirement quality and maturity.
• Support adoption of systems engineering tools, processes, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 1–2 years of professional U.S. engineering experience preferred/required.
• Experience with requirements management in an engineering/product development environment.
• Experience with at least one requirements management tool:

  • Polarion
  • Jama
  • IBM DOORS / DOORS Next
  • RequisitePro
• Experience working with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Willingness to work onsite in Wyoming, MN.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive or Aerospace industry experience.
• Vehicle or subsystem-level Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience working within a Stage-Gate product development process.
• Knowledge of INCOSE requirements engineering principles.
• Experience with requirements traceability and verification.
• Experience with vehicle interfaces or integration requirements.
