Job Summary:

We are a multi-discipline engineering and design firm, serving the heavy industrial sector. Our success in executing projects has resulted in repeat business from our loyal clients, requiring us to grow the company to meet project demands.

We focus on the heavy industrial market - cement & lime plants, paper mills, chemical plants, sand & aggregate plants, steel mills, oil & gas processing, building products (roofing, insulation, gypsum; etc.) and other manufacturing plants.

Structural Engineer

Experienced in the design of industrial plant civil & structural projects including heavy concrete foundations (including drilled piers/driven piles), fabricated steel structures, platforms & stair towers, metal buildings, grading & drainage elements.

Ability to perform site condition assessments and submit inspection reports & repair recommendations.

Ability to interpret geotechnical reports, create foundation drawings and location plans, structural steel plan & elevation drawings, anchor bolt schedules, and review steel shop drawings.

Ensure all designs meet the requirements of the IBC, ASCE & related building codes

Experience with STAAD-Pro design modeling software

Review and quality control of engineering design calculations, structural drawing packages and specifications.

Requirements

BS - Civil or Structural Engineering

5-10 years of experience with a construction firm, equipment manufacturer or with an engineering firm

Must be licensed or able to obtain PE registration within 2 years

Must be proficient in AutoCAD software, Revit, and Plant 3D.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with other engineering disciplines

Location: Richardson, TX

Travel: Up to 25%

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
