Senior OCI Solution Architect / DBA/App Lead

OCI + DB@Azure + Oracle Applications, Database & Middleware Modernization (OCI)
We are hiring a senior architect to lead Oracle workload modernization, migration, and managed services transition across OCI and hybrid/multicloud environments, with strong preference for Oracle Database Azure (Oracle DB@Azure) and broader Azure exposure.
This role is a blend of:
- Architecture leadership
- DB Team Leadership
- Hands-on Oracle platform depth (DB / EBS / Middleware)
- Delivery execution
- Customer-facing solutioning and growth support
The ideal candidate can lead from discovery through cutover and transition to run, while managing risk, dependencies, and technical quality.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead architecture for Oracle workload migrations/upgrades on OCI, including hybrid/multicloud patterns
- Design secure, supportable target-state solutions for:
- Oracle Database (single instance / RAC)
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Oracle Middleware (WebLogic / SOA)
- Define HA/DR, backup, performance, and operational readiness aligned to RTO/RPO
OCI / Azure / DB@Azure Modernization
- Architect and support solutions involving:
- OCI-native Oracle deployments
- Oracle Database@Azure (preferred)
- Azure connectivity, landing zone, and integration dependencies (preferred)
- Work through network, IAM, environment, and platform dependencies across teams
Delivery Leadership
- Lead technical execution for migrations, upgrades, cutovers, and hypercare
- Produce/review:
- HLD/LLD
- Migration runbooks
- Cutover/rollback plans
- Validation checklists
- Drive issue resolution across onshore/offshore teams
Managed Services Transition
- Define transition-to-run readiness (monitoring, runbooks, ownership, escalation)
- Improve repeatability, delivery quality, and supportability
- Support conversion of project work into recurring managed services
Customer & Pre-Sales Support
- Run discovery workshops and translate customer needs into delivery-ready designs
- Support estimates, options, risks, and technical approach during deal shaping
- Act as trusted advisor for customer IT, DB, app, and infrastructure teams
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years in enterprise IT with deep Oracle platform experience
- 10+ years in lead architect / technical lead roles
- Proven experience delivering Oracle migrations/upgrades and production-critical cutovers
- Strong customer-facing experience and leadership of distributed teams
Technical Skills
- OCI architecture and implementation (strong)
- Oracle Database Administration / Architecture (strong)
- Backup/recovery, HA/DR, tuning, upgrades/migrations
- Oracle EBS and/or Oracle enterprise application platform support/migrations
- Oracle Middleware (WebLogic / SOA) experience
- Linux/platform administration in Oracle environments
- Strong design documentation and runbook discipline
Strongly Preferred (Elevated)
- Oracle Database@Azure (Oracle DB@Azure) architecture and/or delivery experience
- Azure exposure, especially:
- Networking/connectivity
- Identity/IAM integration
- Hybrid architecture patterns
- Operational dependencies across OCI and Azure teams
- Experience with Oracle workloads in multicloud/hybrid enterprise environments
- OCI certifications
- Oracle RAC
- Oracle analytics stack exposure (OAS/OAC/OBIEE/ODI)
- Managed services transition/run-model experience
- Regulated industry experience (financial services, healthcare, public sector, etc.)

- Delivers Oracle modernization/migration projects with predictable technical outcomes
- Improves cutover readiness and transition-to-run quality
- Establishes reusable architecture and delivery patterns
- Reduces delivery risk through stronger dependency management and documentation
- Supports growth in OCI + DB@Azure opportunities
