We are looking to grow a robust, highly engaged mobile development team that is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for our users. Our ever-growing mobile user base is asking for more features, alongside dynamic and interactive visualizations. As a Senior Android Developer, you will lead development efforts and provide technical guidance to the engineering team across our entire suite of mobile applications for retail, retirement, and intelligent assistant platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead development efforts and guide the engineering team across a comprehensive suite of enterprise mobile applications.
Participate in high-level design discussions, mentor junior developers, and remove technical roadblocks for the team.
Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
Direct the engineering team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of native Android applications.
Build and maintain applications that support multiple versions of Android SDKs, varied screen resolutions, and diverse device types.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
7+ years of Android development experience, including proven team leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Extensive experience developing complex Android applications within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Proficiency with Kotlin and an expert understanding of the Android SDK and NDK.
Experience interfacing Android applications to server-side APIs using REST, JSON, and XML.
Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with Agile development practices.
Preferred qualifications
Exceptional object-oriented design and development skills, with a solid grasp of algorithms, memory management, and real-time communications.
Hands-on experience implementing unit test cases using Espresso, Gherkin, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.
Knowledge of integrating feature-flagging platforms such as LaunchDarkly and Optimizely.
Familiarity with mobile analytics tools like Adobe, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or AppsFlyer.
Experience using code repository and version control tools such as GIT, BitBucket, or SVN.
In-depth knowledge of current technological trends and best practices in information security and wireless network architecture.
