Senior Business Analyst – Banking & Financial Services

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise technology initiatives within the banking and financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis, including at least 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, payments, lending,  Strong experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, process improvement, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is essential.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, payments, lending, credit unions, or fintech.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, process analysis, and gap analysis.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
• Hands-on experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, data mappings, and RTMs.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution design, testing, UAT, implementation, and change management.
• Working knowledge of APIs, web services, system integrations, interfaces, data flows, databases, and data mapping.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, business processes, and operational controls.
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or comparable platforms.
• Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, facilitate decisions, and drive requirements through completion.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
