Senior Trade Finance Business Analyst (CPG Domain)
Location: COLUMBUS, OHIO Onsite
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Trade Finance Process Expert Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) domain. This role requires strong functional and system knowledge across Trade Finance, Trade Promotions Management (TPM), Cash Application, and SAP (S/4HANA) environments.
The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring successful translation of business requirements into system solutions and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in driving efficient and scalable trade finance operations across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary interface between business users and IT teams.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder discussions, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between business and technical teams.
Trade Finance & Process Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise in Trade Finance processes, including:
- Trade promotions
- Claims and deductions
- Cash application and collections
- Analyze and improve end-to-end trade finance workflows.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimization strategies.
Trade Promotions Management (TPM)
- Work extensively on:
- SAP TPM (Retail)
- TELUS (Blacksmith) for Food Service
- Support implementation, configuration, and enhancements in TPM systems.
- Ensure accurate tracking and processing of trade promotions, claims, and accruals.
Cash Application & Receivables
- Manage and optimize cash application processes.
- Leverage tools such as HighRadius for:
- Automated cash application
- Deduction resolution
- Accounts receivable management
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reconciliation processes.
5. SAP & ERP Systems
6. Solution Design & Implementation
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Work with IT teams to design and deliver scalable solutions.
- Support system integrations, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment activities.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
- Support reporting and analytics for trade promotions and financial operations.
8. Testing & Validation
- Define and execute test cases, test data, and validation scenarios.
- Support SIT, UAT, and post-production validation.
- Ensure defect tracking and resolution.
9. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including:
- Business requirement documents (BRD)
- Functional specifications
- Process flows and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.
