Senior Scrum Master for a

The Senior Scrum Master will drive agile delivery excellence across a high-impact digital transformation program at The Hartford, managing risks, empowering teams, and ensuring seamless execution in a matrixed enterprise environment.
Role Overview
Lead agile practices for 7-8 squads while directly running 2-3 pods, overseeing the program backlog, mentoring junior Scrum Masters, and delivering executive stakeholder updates. This servant leadership role demands proven hands-on success in large-scale programs over certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage risks and dependencies across multiple squads to ensure smooth, predictable delivery.
- Directly facilitate 2-3 squads while providing oversight to a total of 7-8 pods.
- Maintain and prioritize the overall program backlog, aligning with business priorities.
- Mentor and coach 2 junior Scrum Masters to build organizational agile capability.
- Deliver polished executive-level presentations and status updates to stakeholders.
Leadership & Style
Servant leader focused on team empowerment, removing impediments, and fostering collaboration. Exceptional communication skills required-from daily standups to C-suite briefings.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record delivering large-scale programs in matrixed organizations.
- Hands-on success managing multiple squads/pods and program-level backlogs.
- Experience mentoring junior agile roles and presenting to executives.
- Strong risk management and dependency coordination across teams.
Preferred Experience
- Insurance or financial services domain exposure.
- Agile delivery in complex, enterprise transformation initiatives.
