Position Overview
Seeking an enterprise-grade QA Automation Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to design, construct, and scale automated testing frameworks for web and API platforms. This 100% on-site role focuses on constructing end-to-end UI automation utilizing Playwright with TypeScript, building RESTful API test suites using RestAssured and Java/Selenium, and embedding test pipelines directly into DevOps continuous integration workflows via Jenkins.

Key Responsibilities
* Web UI Automation Architecture: Design, maintain, and execute modern UI test automation suites using Playwright with TypeScript, ensuring high test coverage, cross-browser compatibility, and flaky test mitigation.
* REST API Automation: Develop, scale, and maintain automated backend API testing frameworks using RestAssured (with Java) to execute request-response validation, status code checks, payload schema assertions, and performance sanity checks.
* Legacy Test Maintenance: Maintain and enhance existing core UI automation scripts built on Selenium with Java, migrating legacy test cases to modern Playwright frameworks where applicable.
* CI/CD DevOps Integration: Configure, manage, and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, enabling automated regression checks on continuous code deployments.
* Defect Lifecycle & Quality Governance: Identify, log, triage, and track complex software defects in JIRA, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborating with development squads to ensure rapid defect resolution.
* Test Strategy & Documentation: Analyze functional requirements, author structured test plans, design detailed test scenarios, and build programmatic assertions for web and API layers.

Required Skillset
* Experience: 4–7 years of dedicated professional software quality assurance and test automation experience.
* Playwright & TypeScript: Hands-on experience engineering UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
* API Testing & RestAssured: Strong hands-on proficiency automating backend web services and REST APIs using RestAssured.
* Java & Selenium: Solid programming foundation in Java and experience building UI frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
* DevOps & CI/CD Pipeline: Practical experience configuring and executing automated build and test jobs inside Jenkins.
