- You will serve as an Electrical Engineer Technician in the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Facilities Infrastructure Management (FIM) Department.
- You will serve on an engineering staff, developing criteria, plans, specifications, details, and standards for construction, modification, and repair projects for buildings and utility systems.

- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Reading complex blueprints and technical schematics, AND
- Designing electrical circuits and systems, AND
- Professional knowledge of requirements for and the installation of electrical system components required by the National Electrical Code (NEC), such as service disconnects, grounding rods, circuit breakers, fuses, electrical conduits, Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters, electrical busses, and supports for busses and conduits, AND
- Professional knowledge of NEC Code requirements for wire gauge sizing as it relates to amperage transmittal through the conductor, AND
- Professional knowledge of NEC Code requirements for conduit sizing as it relates to wire gauge and number of conductors, AND
- Professional knowledge of appropriate panel, box and enclosure ratings for different environments as specified in the National Electrical Manufactures Association (NEMA) Code, AND
- Design and selection abilities according to the above with close guidance and supervision from a Senior Electrical Engineer, AND
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervising staff in the development of designs, AND
- Basic knowledge and ability to create design drawings using the Computer Aided Drafting Program AutoCad 2021.
