Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, Java, SQL, and RESTful services to support application enhancements and reporting initiatives.

The selected candidate will work on enterprise applications and reporting systems, contributing to both business intelligence reporting and backend application updates. This role requires strong experience in data analysis, system design, and modern web service development while working collaboratively within a development team.

The ideal candidate will be capable of independently performing complex development tasks, designing technical solutions, and supporting application maintenance and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to enhance reporting capabilities.

• Modify and enhance Java-based applications, including updates to business logic and user interfaces.

• Extend and improve system reporting functionality and data models.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases.

• Develop and support RESTful web services using the Spring framework.

• Perform unit testing using JUnit and maintain code coverage standards.

• Support application maintenance activities including bug fixes, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.

• Participate in code reviews, documentation, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.

• Ensure adherence to security policies, testing practices, and development standards.

• Provide support across multiple environments including development, testing, and production.

• Participate in on-call support when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Power BI development and reporting solutions

• 8+ years of experience writing SQL for relational databases

• 8+ years of experience developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework

• 8+ years of experience with JUnit and unit test development

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular UI framework

• Experience with Crystal Reports

Work Schedule & Location

• Standard business hours (Monday - Friday).

• Hybrid work environment (onsite and remote).

• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required with prior approval.

• Travel or related expenses are typically the responsibility of the contractor unless pre-approved.
