Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in building real-time data pipelines and distributed systems with strong expertise in Apache Flink, Amazon Kinesis, and DevOps practices, along with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions for analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Design, implement, and optimize real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Flink and Amazon Kinesis.
Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines for both batch and streaming data sources.
Implement data transformation services using AWS Glue, Lambda, and related technologies.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Translate Business requirements into high-quality technical documents including, data mapping, data processes, and operational support guides
Work closely with architects, product managers and reporting team to collect functional and system requirements.
Work in fast-paced environment and perform effectively in an agile development environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to perform multi-tasking.
Ensure high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance in production-grade streaming pipelines.
Work on data modeling and architecture to support reporting and analytics requirements.
Utilize monitoring, alerting, and logging tools to maintain system health and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in designing and implementing data solutions in data engineering.
Proven experience building data pipelines and working with distributed systems using Python, Flink, Kinesis and Kafka.
Strong hands-on expertise with Apache Flink (DataStream API, Table API, SQL API).
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and version control.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
Experience with Terraform and IaC best practices.
Strong programming skills in Python.
Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools for distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lake Formation, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Athena, Firehose, Amazon Redshift and AWS Lambda.
Ability to set up schedulers using Amazon EventBridge or time-based schedules for jobs and crawlers.
Experience with Power BI and AWS Data Lake integrations or similar BI tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61.27 - $76.47/hr.
