W2 Contract to Hire
Snr Engineer: This person will be working as part of a larger team but may (sometimes) be the primary contributor on a specific project. Therefore, they should be capable for working autonomously (self-driven, break down and plan tasks to achieve goals, identify anti-patterns in existing code, implement appropriate patterns without over-engineering, etc.). This is not a position for juniors. Code review and cross-discipline collaboration are essential.
The Snr Engineer Full Stack is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing responsive web applications. This role collaborates with various teams for research, analysis, and architecture of business solutions. The engineer will develop and maintain innovative, scalable solutions that provide value to the business and provide operational support as required.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop, design, code, debug and document high traffic web applications and services running from cloud platforms.
Design, write, and implement unit tests and end to end tests.
Provide input and guidance on development and architecture decisions; collaborate with other engineers.
Evaluate new technologies and determine viability per solution.
Analyze requirements and solution architecture and provide task specific estimates.
Mentor junior engineers with regards to coding practices and design decisions.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high quality and consistent coding practices.
Participate in scrum team ceremonies in agile methodology, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
Collaborate closely with other IT teams globally from Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, Quality Assurance (QA), and Infrastructure.
Ensure quality and performance standards are met across omnichannel customer experiences including kiosks, mobile, and web platforms.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.
Four (4) years of software engineering experience, building responsive web applications and Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Four (4) years of professional full stack development using NodeJs, Java, Angular.
Experience with Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline and tools like Jenkins, Sonarqube.
Experience with developing software applications in at least one of the major Cloud platforms - Azure, Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
Candidates must demonstrate coding skills in a work sample assessment.
Available for moderate overnight travel (up to 15%).
In possession of valid travel documents and the ability to travel in and out of the United States.
Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in agile practices in Scrum teams.
Knowledge of modern software architecture, microservices, micro-frontends, serverless applications and frameworks.
Experience with Magnolia Content Management Systems (CMS) and Fastly Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Keen interest in application security and knowledge of security best practices.
Knowledge of DevOps practices.
Knowledge of omnichannel customer experiences across kiosks, mobile, and web platforms.
Experience with Yarn, Gradle, WebPack, CSS.
Azure certifications.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
