Enterprise Data Architect
Hybrid - 2 days per month, onsite, in Newark, NJ is required
The Data Architect defines enterprise data architecture standards, ingestion frameworks, and governance patterns to ensure high-quality, consistent data across the organization. This senior-level role focuses on creating reusable data models, exchange patterns, and quality frameworks. The Data Architect collaborates with data platform, integration, and governance teams to drive data modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define data modeling standards and domain model frameworks.
- Create ingestion frameworks with schema validation, quality checks, and exception handling.
- Develop data exchange patterns for internal and third-party integrations.
- Establish data lifecycle, persistence, and master data management standards.
- Define data governance, privacy, and protection patterns.
- Build data quality frameworks and classification models.
- Develop modernization roadmaps and train architects on data patterns.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years in data architecture or engineering.
- 5+ years creating enterprise data standards and frameworks.
- Expertise in data modeling, ingestion pipelines, data exchange, and governance.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, data lakes, and warehouses.
- TOGAF, DAMA CDMP, and cloud data certifications preferred.
The Data Architect will deliver ingestion frameworks, data exchange patterns, and governance models that ensure trusted, scalable data across the enterprise. This is a strategic role for a Data Architect passionate about data quality and architecture excellence.
