You will be the Systems Engineer Senior - Level 3 for the Advanced Development Program (ADP) which is responsible for pioneering next-generation aircraft technologies.

As the Systems Engineer Senior - Level 3 you will be responsible for translating ambitious concepts into verifiable system designs, driving the integration of cutting-edge engineering disciplines, and delivering results in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading system architecture and trade-study activities for advanced aircraft concepts.
- Driving Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and tool adoption.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to execute agile development cycles.
- Managing multiple concurrent assignments while maintaining technical rigor and schedule commitments.
- Producing technical risk assessments and present actionable solutions to senior leadership.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.
The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Math.
Systems engineering experience to include but not limited to requirements tracking, risk management, architecture evaluation, airworthiness. verification or validation.
Aerospace industry experience
Desired skills
Strong oral & written communication skills and analytical thinking ability
Must have the ability to work independently as well as being a team player and willing to support other team members on a proactive basis in any capacity needed. Must engage professionally and effectively with senior management. Must be able to successfully meet deadlines and execute to a strict timeline.
Final Top Secret Clearance investigation within the last 5 years with ability to or in the process of obtaining a Top Secret SAR/SAP clearance.
Experience in Mission Systems (MS) system design and development
Experience executing in a digital engineering environment (i.e., MBSE and digital twin)
Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, 3DX, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools
Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements
Work experience with operational modeling tools
Experience developing a system architecture
Experience using software tools (such as MS Excel, JIRA and Access)
Experience with systems engineering processes

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
