D365 SCM Functional Consultant – WMS / Execution

Position Summary

The organization is seeking a D365 SCM Functional Consultant – WMS / Execution to provide onsite support focusing on warehouse execution, scanning, shipping, inventory movement, and shop-floor material flow. The role involves collaborating with plant users to validate daily operational scenarios, support training initiatives, assist with user acceptance testing, and ensure that SCM processes are practical, well-understood, and prepared for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Support configuration validation and functional testing for warehouse management, mobile device/scanning workflows, inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
• Work with plant operations to review real-world use cases and confirm SCM supports operational needs.
• Assist with executing UAT, documenting defects, retesting, and obtaining business sign-off.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training for end users, super-users, and process owners.
• Support go-live readiness by validating work instructions, process flows, and readiness checklists.
• Provide onsite troubleshooting and functional guidance during testing, training, and early production support.
• Coordinate with the lead functional and technical resources to escalate process or system issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working directly with SCM systems, specifically with warehouse management, inventory, shipping, receiving, material flow, and execution processes.
• Experience with advanced warehouse capabilities, mobile device workflows, location directives, work templates, picking, put-away, counting, and shipping processes is preferred.
• Strong skills in training, documentation, UAT, and supporting business users.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience specifically with D365 SCM or Dynamics AX in related operational roles.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management and inventory processes within a complex distribution or manufacturing setting.
