Job Summary
Value Technology is seeking a highly experienced Appian Architect to design, develop, and lead enterprise-grade BPM and low-code automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Appian architecture, process modeling, integrations, and performance optimization. This role requires strong leadership skills, solution design expertise, and the ability to guide development teams in delivering scalable and secure applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable business process solutions using Appian.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Appian BPM applications.
- Design complex process models, SAIL interfaces, CDTs, and integrations.
- Develop reusable components and enforce best practices across projects.
- Architect integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and messaging platforms.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement Appian deployment strategies and manage environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
- Provide technical leadership and mentor Appian developers.
- Participate in client discussions, requirement gathering, and solution presentations.
- Ensure governance, coding standards, and architecture compliance.
Required Technical Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Appian
- Strong knowledge of BPM concepts and workflow automation
- Experience with SAIL, Process Models, Record Types, Reports, and Interfaces
- Integration experience (REST, SOAP, Web APIs)
- Database knowledge (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Appian Sites and Portals
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps processes
- Experience with Appian cloud and on-prem deployments
Architecture & Design Expertise
- Enterprise solution design
- Performance tuning and scalability optimization
- Security and role-based access design
- Data modeling and process optimization
- Microservices and API-first architecture
- Cloud-native architecture (AWS/Azure preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Certified Lead Developer / Architect certification
- Experience in Banking / Healthcare / Insurance domain (if applicable)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes – plus)
