E-Commerce Analyst

Description

We are looking for an E-Commerce Analyst to join a fast-moving organization in Madison, Wisconsin. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who combines strong e-commerce platform knowledge with a highly technical mindset and a genuine interest in using AI tools to improve analysis, workflows, and decision-making. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a high-energy team environment, identifying opportunities to improve online performance, and helping drive measurable business results across digital commerce channels.

Responsibilities:

Analyze e-commerce performance data to uncover trends, identify growth opportunities, and support decisions that improve digital sales outcomes.

Manage and optimize BigCommerce platform activity, ensuring product presentation, site functionality, and user experience align with business goals.

Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance online storefront performance across marketplace and direct-to-consumer channels.

Evaluate conversion behavior and recommend practical improvements that strengthen the customer journey and increase transaction success rates.

Use technical tools, reporting methods, and emerging AI capabilities to streamline analysis and generate actionable insights more efficiently.

Support ongoing enhancement efforts across e-commerce applications, including updates, testing, and issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Monitor site and marketplace activity across platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and eBay to help maintain consistency and performance.

Contribute to digital commerce initiatives by prioritizing high-impact work, responding quickly to changing needs, and helping the team move projects forward.

Requirements

Hands-on experience working with e-commerce platforms, with strong preference for BigCommerce expertise.
Background in digital commerce analysis, online merchandising, or e-commerce application support.
Familiarity with platforms and channels such as Magento, Shopify, and eBay.
Demonstrated understanding of conversion optimization principles and strategies that improve online sales performance.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new tools quickly and apply data-driven thinking to business challenges.
Interest in adopting AI tools as part of daily work and using them to improve efficiency, insight generation, or execution.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced team setting where priorities can shift and momentum is important.
